our olympic glimpse!

Here is a little video Giles pieced together from some poorly shot footage...I can say that because I was the one behind the camera! The beginning was taped from inside because Avery was a little upset to be outside but clearly not in the action, so your looking at Giles and Xander through the window of the chalet...not ideal! Anyways, it was a great time and I think the 2026 olympics are going to be pretty big for Xander!!!! He had fun, so thats all that matters at this point!

Skiing!!!!

Today was a VERY exciting day for the males in our family! I don't know who was having more fun, Giles or Xander! I think a dream of Giles', to be able to instil a love of skiing (and hiking...and canoeing...you get the idea) is starting to be realized as the kids get older! We discovered last summer that hiking is an enjoyable thing with the family and now Xander has discovered a love for skiing! He had a great time, and after two runs thought that he should really be able to do this by himself!

Here they are heading up the bunny hill together! Avery was feeling pretty left out and whenever we were outside she kept heading for this track, or wanting to go up with Daddy!

Making there way down!

All smiles!
I love this photo of Xander! Getting him to look at and smile for the camera has never been this easy!

A little of this, a little of that!

Time is flying! I can't believe Willow is already a month old...and that we're totally surviving this whole three kids adventure!!! I think I must have really prepared myself for the worst...because this really doesn't seem so bad! Anyways, here's some photos taken recently of nothing in particular, just a little look into life with our kids!

Willow is pretty strong for such a tiny little lady! She seems to be very fond of trying to launch her head and upper body around when we're holding her! She was actually able to roll from her belly to her back a few days ago...a fluke I'm sure, but it did still happen!

"Three little monkeys kicking on the bed!"

While I'm taking pictures of Willow, you can see Xander climbing up the window in the background! Soon after he realized that the blind that was half rolled up the window was not strong enough to hold his weight and he landed pretty hard on his tailbone. After laying down on the bed with a hurt bum and head he figured he was ok to keep going...but with a different game!

Our first go with Willow in the wrap...she actually enjoyed it more than this photo would suggest...and I was able to get supper basically ready before Giles got home! A success I would say!

Avery will dress herself (poorly and with a small amount of frustration) with anything that she can find. Socks are usually a favorite, but apparently oven mitts are also quite enjoyable to put on and walk around in. The other day, she was totally naked and put Giles' X-country ski boots on and walked around the basement like that! It was really cute, but unfortunately a short-lived moment so I couldn't get a camera out fast enough!

Playing in Avery's little bed is a favorite past-time for both!

It was felt that if Willow was getting wrapped up and carried around, then they both needed a "baby" to carry around the same way!

This is Willow's first time keeping a soother in her mouth and also the first time we caught her giving us the finger on camera! The soother hasn't been a huge success, but it has come in handy on a couple of van rides! Otherwise, she's not terribly interested!
