Gymnastics!!!

Xander has spent the last few months of Tuesday's at a gymnastics class running around and trying a few new things which has been fun to watch! This week was the last and so all the kids from the various classes put on a parent's night and some of the older kids paired up with those in Xander's age group to show us parents what they've been up to!

Xander was quite excited to escape from the older girl helping him to do a little creative movement on his own....this was the case during most classes! His favorite thing to do was run around in big circles on the soft blue mat, jump on the little trampoline and occasionally take a stab at the balance beam!

Where we were sitting wasn't ideal for taking pictures, but here is Xander at the end of a little pencil roll and probably being convinced to move off the wedge so someone else can take a turn!

Here Xander is trying the uneven bars for the first time. He wouldn't go near them the whole time and then the performance night when Giles or myself are not there with him he tried it! I was pretty pumped about this....sometimes its easier to take direction from someone other than your parents I guess!
